Our Outdoor Venue has unique combinations of offerings, rarely found all together in one place! There are edible, medicinal, culinary, flower and native plant gardens, an orchard, streams and ponds, hardwood forests, hiking trails, outdoor event space with a firecircle, both a residential and learning community, private yoga or bodywork sessions and educational opportunities- all on a 50-plus year established organic farm!!!

Our Venue is suitable for outdoor small gatherings and events. A parking area and bathhouse are situated next to the gardens and trails. We have a gazebo, a stone-seating area with fire circle plus a fire circle in the forest. You will also have access to the nature trail and the bigger lawns attached to the gardens.

We have several ecosystems to explore from gardens, to fields, streams, overlooks, forests, orchards, green-built structures, and there’s birding, too!

The deep and long-term ecological footprint we have consciously created on this land, being a well-established organic farm in the area for over 50 years, is evident in the diversity of life here.

Relish the gardens and trails during your stay and immerse yourself in a plant paradise. There is a mile long nature trail loop called the Frank Cook Nature Trail, available for guests to walk, and a hearty hike for those who don’t mind steep trails – with an amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains (and the sunset if timed right) at the top of Onion Rock.

And we are away from the city, but not a far drive from it! Herb Mountain Farm is a 25 minute drive from Asheville, NC.
